To all those interested in what the Library of Virginia can and
cannot do on line and other services - The Library publishes many
brochures called " Research Notes" " there about 20 such) which
convey much information on availability of material.
They also publish a pamphlet called " Historic Virginia Documents on
the Internet" listing URL's where the information is available.( Not
necessarily @ the Library ) This document has the address of Original
Charters of 1606, 1609,1611, and 1612.
Armed with this information, a researcher that knows what he is
looking for can most easily find a local "looker up" or even a
consultant that doesn't want an arm and a leg for many hours looking
up the same references.
A letter to the LVA might get them to mail the informative booklets
for a postage charge.
Good Luck
Bill Woodard
