To all those interested in what the Library of Virginia can and cannot do on line and other services - The Library publishes many brochures called " Research Notes" " there about 20 such) which convey much information on availability of material. They also publish a pamphlet called " Historic Virginia Documents on the Internet" listing URL's where the information is available.( Not necessarily @ the Library ) This document has the address of Original Charters of 1606, 1609,1611, and 1612. Armed with this information, a researcher that knows what he is looking for can most easily find a local "looker up" or even a consultant that doesn't want an arm and a leg for many hours looking up the same references. A letter to the LVA might get them to mail the informative booklets for a postage charge.
