Herald Courier: For Shelia Steele Hunt, a lifetime of work started with her
family’s 1700-era Bible. “As a child I loved family history,” Hunt said.
“We had the old family Bible with written pages on it. I was always awed
and awe-struck by who that was and where it came from. Who were these
people?” Hunt is the Sullivan County, Tenn., Archives and Tourism executive
director. She is responsible for preserving county records and making sure
that information is accessible to the public.
