My roadblock is James Parker, who lived in King and Queen County, and was
listed on the 1840 census. I've traced everybody from him down to modern
times (he's my g-g-g-grandfather). I haven't found anything more about
James, his birth, death, parents, etc. I think I'm stuck because of the
burned country syndrome. There are some tantalizing threads of other Parker
families in K&Q County that maybe relate to James, but I can't find any
definite connections. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would
be greatly appreciated.
