Hello Everyone,

Could someone please tell me if the authority for the awarding of land for
service in the War of 1812 is : May 6, 1812: ScripWarrant Act of 1812 (2
Stat. 728)

This is referred to in several Missouri land certificates issued in the
1819-1825 period found at www.glorecords.blm.gov The individuals are known
to have served in the War of 1812.

If this is not the authority, does anyone have a correct citation?

Thanks in advance.

Janet (Baugh) Hunter
