Kentucky County was formed from Fincastle County, Virginia, in 1777.
Fincastle was formed from Botetourt County in 1772. Botetourt was
formed from Augusta in 1770. Augusta was created in 1745. You may have
to go back to Augusta County records for the time period you are
interested in.
