Alexander Morrison br ab 1760 in either Va or NC and died in 1838 in Jackson County Ga. His father immigrated to this country shortly after Culloden according to an elderly distant cousin. He came to Ga to fight in the Revolutionary War and received his land in Ga for his service.
At age 40 he married Mary Ann Gathright, daughter of Miles Gathright in Jackson County Ga.
We speculate this is a second marriage, she was 20 yrs younger than he was. There is extensive documentation from 1788 forward. The question is:who were his parents and did he have any siblings?
Mary Ann had a brother named Ambrose or Osborne MORRISON Gathright. He was the third son and I have not been able to find a connection.
Any help would be appreciated.
Barbara
