I am attempting to identify Dr. Goodridge Wilson. Here is what I know.

Povall Carter married Martha or Patsy Davis in Powhatan County Dec.
1790. Martha was a niece of Littleberry Davis. Povall was a son of Daniel Carter of Powhatan

Povall and Martha has a second son that they named Wilson Carter born 1797 in Powhatan County.

Micklebury Montague in settling the estate of Robert Moore of Powhatan County, his father-in-law by his first marriage, paid Dr Wilson for Daniel Carter. Robert Moore died about 1797. Daniel Carter died either 1797 or 1798.

In Prince Edward County John Taggart, adm. of Littleberry Davis' estate paid Dr. Wilson for Littleberry Davis. Littleberry died in August 1799. Dr Goodridge Wilson hear his oral will and he and John H. Overstreet testified to the same. WB 3 page 163.

Sometime after 1807 in WB 4, page 101, also Prince Edward the will of Thomas Venable left items to his sister Elizabeth Wilson and his medical books and tools to Dr. Goodridge Wilson.

In Southside Virginia an article by J. C. Knolbe, Vol IV No 1, 1985 appeared this notation. In a list of Briery Presbyterian Church in Prince Edward County Elizabeth and Goodridge Wilson to College Hill c. 1813.

Could anyone shed light on Dr. Wilson and why perhaps Povall and Martha named their son Wilson Any help will be appreciated.
