Researching King and Queen tax records... and have a question.
How were the tax rolls created?  Did the commisioner of the district
physically travel the area or was there a general proclamation directing
all tithable males to report.  Curious to see if dates listed next to
Names of Tithables can infer geographic proximity; ie; I am looking into
Benoni Broach family, if Benoni is listed with date May 21 next to his
name, does it folow that others listed on or around May 21 are his closest
neighbors or does it only mean that he was recorded and/or reported on that
day.
