As a favor to an Australian researcher, I am posting the
following query, which I found interesting as it involves a
genealogical anomaly: a birth at sea. If anyone has any
suggestions for Ms. Roberts about Bermuda records or
shipping records, please contact her directly at

David Roberts was born around 1828 to David Roberts and
Mary Ann Andrews. He was born at sea, near Bermuda. I don't
know if they may have originally come from Wales. David's
father was a Mariner. A genealogist in USA a while back
found a David Roberts who died at sea, they said he went
insane on ship.
