Does anyone have access to Richmond Co Order Book 2, p. 55? I think
Anthony SAVAGE, whose will was presented 5 Jun 1695 by executor
Francis THORNTON b 1651, was the father of Francis's wife Alice
SAVAGE. If so, then the Thorntons are descended from the Constables,
because Anthony's wife was Sarah CONSTABLE b 1616/7. Or Anthony could
have been Alice's brother, as he would probably have been in his 80s
otherwise.

Headley's abstract of Richmond Co wills just gives the "probate to
executor" note, with no clue to relationship. Maybe the will is
lost. The Thorntons named a son Anthony and a daughter Sarah, so some
connection is quite likely.
