If you want to use a digital camera for making copies of documents I suggest
you purchase a camera with MACRO function. This will allow you to make close
up photos of the pages while sitting at a desk.

Forget about a single photo in making a large page copy; make several photos
that overlap then join them with an editing program.

A digital cam is also excellent for making copies of old photos, a macro
setting makes it easy to get close up detail.

When selecting a digital camera get one with a removable media such as a
memory stick or smart card; these can be taken from the camera to the photo
departments of many drug stores to have the contents burned to a CD or DVD
for later easy editing. Walgreens does and excellent job and at a very
reasonable price.
