USGS does not have a listing for this name in Hanover County. I was raised
in Hanover and it's not familiar to me either. It may be the name of a farm
or plantation. Thorntons lived at a place recently added to the historical
register near Fork Church and, I have heard, also ran a store west of Ashland
at the cross roads near where the fire tower was located at one time. What
was Reuben's era? That would help. Charles.
