Here is one I'm not sure I understand.  In the 1790 and 1800 tax lists for
Charlotte Co there are 2 William Fosters.  One is tagged as "good" and the
other as "wag"[goner].  Has anyone seen "good" used before and does it mean
anything other than what it seems?  I've seen modifiers related to
occupation and parish or waterway where a man lived, or "son of" which is
always helpful, but not "good".  Thanks for the help.  (And thanks to Bunny
and Steve for putting the tax lists on line.  It's a great resource).
