Attention Fellow Researchers:
The Virginia Genealogical Society is pleased to announce its Spring
Conference, "Ancestors on the Move: Tracing Migration Routes," to be held
April 5, 2003, at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 10701 W. Huguenot Road,
Richmond, Virginia. We will also offer sessions for beginners, focusing on
the 1930 Federal Census, and "Is Your Census Research Complete? --
Non-Population Schedules."
Our featured speaker is Mrs. Carrie Eldridge, a local history consultant,
who has created a brochure of historical cemetery sites for the Cabell
County Landmark Society and speaks at local and regional events. Mrs.
Elderkin is an adjunct teacher of geography for local university classes,
and is involved in West Virginia records preservation -- to start off her
list of many activities.
