I'm researching Boyers from the 1700s and interested in comparing notes:
My dead-end is ROBERT BOYER whose wife's name was ANN (maiden name unknown but maybe SMITH).They had a daughter named MARGARET BOYER who married PETER BOWMAN in the 1790s and had a daughter named ANN SMITH BOWMAN, b. 1799 in D.C.
Margaret Boyer was born about 1776 so her parents, Robert and Ann, were probably born in the mid-1700s.
The family was from the PA, DC, VA area.
