Hi Listers,

Can someone on the list please tell me at what age someone could purchase land in Virginia after the Revolution? I have a couple of lists for the Colonial period, but I know that things did change somewhat afterwards. I know that if a guardian sold land before the owner was 21 that the owner had to make a valid deed when he or she came of age, but what about purchasing land?

Thanks & a happy Thanksgiving to all,

Anne
