To replace an existing Records Officer, have your new RO indicate whom they 
are replacing in box 10 of the RM-25. If you have multiple ROs, and would like 
to remove one without designating a replacement, let your LVA Records 
Analyst know and we will make that change. 

Please be aware that the Code of Virginia §42.1-85 requires each locality and 
agency to designate at least one Records Officer. You cannot remove an 
officer without designating another unless your locality already has multiple 
ROs.
