The April meeting is open for registration - here's the information from the announcement:

Topic: Information Governance Implementation from a User Perspective
The Virginia State Bar and Old Dominion Electric Cooperative are both currently implementing information governance initiatives for electronic documents using Open Text ECM systems as their platforms. They will share the reasons their organizations decided to implement ECM systems, the components of their information governance initiatives, their successes and challenges, lessons learned and advice for others as well as what is left to do.

Speakers: Stephanie Blanton, Records Manager, Virginia State Bar and John Breeden, CRM, Records Manager, Old Dominion Electric Cooperative

Stephanie serves as records manager for the Virginia State Bar where she has been employed for three years. Prior to her position at the Virginia State Bar, she has 26 years of experience in litigation support in local government, along with corporate and real estate law with private law practice.

John serves as Records Manager for Old Dominion Electric Cooperative. He has 35 years of experience in records management, mostly in state government. He has spoken or consulted all over the country, is an AIIM Fellow, and was awarded AIIM's Thomas Bagg Standards Award.

Registration: 11:30 am -12:00 noon
Meeting: 12:00noon - 1:30pm meeting and speaker presentation, lunch will be served
