All,

You'll remember that in early July I put out a call for volunteers to review proposed changes to GS-02 (local) and GS-102 (state) Fiscal Records. Let me offer a belated thank you to everyone who provided comment. Those changes were recently approved by the Records Oversight Committee and are now available online.

GS-02 for localities is available at http://www.lva.virginia.gov/agencies/records/sched_local/

GS-102 for state agencies is available at http://www.lva.virginia.gov/agencies/records/sched_state/index.htm. As an aside, I am aware that the header for GS-102 indicates the schedule is for county and municipal government. This is a glitch in our Infolinx report feature and is being addressed.

I hope you'll find these simplified schedules easier to use. Please pass this information on to your finance staff so they are also aware of the change.
