For those of you who are new to using listservers:
When you receive a message from someone else on the listserv, if you select
reply, that reply will automatically go to everyone on the Listserv. If you
want to send a message to only one person (such as the person who initially
sent the message), on most e-mail systems you must back out of the message,
select "new message", manually type in the single e-mail address and send
it.
The "Reply" button for listserv messages sends your e-mail to 101 addressees
right now.
In general, if it's a matter of general interest, you would want to send
your message to everyone on the listserv. In other cases, if you want to
send a confidential response - do not hit "Reply".
