Topic: Federated Search - Managing the Unmanaged
When unmanaged content is "invisible" to Data Retention policies, troves of information is underutilized, and access to important content is confusing or difficult, there is an easy solution. Enterprise Search enables you to find the precise information you need from inside any type of document, file and email generated across your organization. Wherever the answers are located - content repositories, SharePoint sites, email systems, network shares, intranets, extranets, websites, databases, social media and all other places - ensure that you can easily discover and bring otherwise hidden content directly to the surface. We will explore how Enterprise Search can be leveraged by end-users for Unified Information Access, but also how it can play a role in security, compliance, e-discovery, FOIA and data management initiatives. Examples will be presented showing how many organizations leverage this technology internally while public sector entities also use it externally to allow their constituents the ability to search specially selected data repositories.

Speakers: Levi Reep, Perceptive Software
Levi Reep, Senior Sales Engineer for Perceptive Search provides technical expertise to prospects and customers, identifying business needs and translating them into successful search implementations. His primary responsibilities include supporting the sales and professional services teams plus OEM partners, maximizing the benefits of the search technology used to solve customer needs. With more than 17 years of experience in IT - including 11 years of experience with search - Reep has a comprehensive technical background. During the dot-com boom, he practically lived in data centers managing web applications and servers and then served as a consultant for other startup companies.
