Harold Gill, who is, I think a member of this list, is likely the
state's leading authority on eighteenth-century artisans, and has
written a book on the subject that is rich with information. So, if I
recall, is his bibliography. There may, as well, be data in research
reports on the Colonial Williamsburg Web site, www.history.org. Go the
the John D. Rockefeller Jr., Library portion of the site.
