Jeff,

It is required because the accusation was made and never answered 
satisfactorily by Jefferson in his lifetime. If the matter was being tried 
in court, I think that including the DNA evidence and all the circumstantial 
and oral traditions converted to print, would be enough to indite, if not to 
find guilty. People have been sentenced to death on flimsier evidence than 
available in this case.
