A quick search of the Library of Virginia's newspaper web site shows they were in business at least until January 1865 at 145 Main Street.  I saw a couple of articles in March of 1868 mentioning that they were back in business.  I would presume they probably went out of business when Richmond fell in April of 1865.  You could try to locate that street address and see if it was destroyed in the fire that burned much of the city center during the fall of Richmond.
