The Beverley family papers, 1652-1901, MSS1B4678a (also available on
microfilm) may provide some additional information. From the _Guide to
African-American Manuscripts in the Collections of the Virginia Historical
Society_ 1995, entry 57:

"...The second volume in the series is an account book kept by Robert
Beverley (1769-1843) in connection with his executorship of the estate of
William Augustine Washington (1757-1810_, including inventories of slaves in
Westmoreland County and Port Royal. The inventories include name, age,
value, to whom sold, and some family relationships."

Maybe this can lead you to some individual names to research.
