The Beverley family papers, 1652-1901, MSS1B4678a (also available on microfilm) may provide some additional information. From the _Guide to African-American Manuscripts in the Collections of the Virginia Historical Society_ 1995, entry 57: "...The second volume in the series is an account book kept by Robert Beverley (1769-1843) in connection with his executorship of the estate of William Augustine Washington (1757-1810_, including inventories of slaves in Westmoreland County and Port Royal. The inventories include name, age, value, to whom sold, and some family relationships." Maybe this can lead you to some individual names to research.
