We've had a reference question asking us to identify a citation from vol. 32, p. 414 of the Virginia Magazine of History and Biography. The citation is to "Va. Hist.
Collections, vol. 8, p. 278." We've not been able to identify the source referred to--it isn't the Calendar of Virginia State Papers, or the Virginia Historical Register and it
isn't Howe's Historical Collections of Virginia . We're stumped. I'm sure we're overlooking something painfully obvious. Any suggestions (to me at [log in to unmask])
would be greatly appreciated.
