Carson Hudson - Witchcraft in Colonial Virginia through Surviving Records
Register:  https://tinyurl.com/GRIVAWitchcraftOct2023

You will receive a confirmation email with information about joining the meeting. As always, space is limited, but guests are always welcome!

Mr. Hudson uses surviving records to explore the topic of witchcraft in colonial Virginina. Like their northern neighbors, Virginians shared a common belief in the supernatural. As witchcraft mania swept through Salem, Massachusetts in 1692, it resulted in significant fascination that tended to overshadow the truth of what actually happened in the other colonies. Utilizing surviving records, author, historian and screenwriter Mr. Hudson dispels many of the myths of Colonial Witchcraft.
Carson Hudson is passionate about history. He holds a MA in Military History and a M.Ed. in Social Studies & Educational Technology. He is a practicing military and social historian, published author, Emmy Award-winning screenwriter, and ex-circus fire-eater. He lectures regularly on a wide variety of subjects, but his particular interests are the Civil War and colonial witchcraft. In his spare time he likes to sleep.
