Thanks to Eric Grundset for suggesting I check the Library of Congress online catalog for novels set in Virginia.  What a goldmine!  Many of the 19th century authors whose works are listed there are new to me, but I hope to find more books, either in hard copy or as ebooks, to read as I work on my list.
