My understanding also, is that the Cherokee receive funding from the US 
Government for other tribes. I am told that the other tribes see little of 
that money, in other words it is mismanaged by the Cherokee. There is little 
oversite by our government, and there should be. The tribes are suffering 
from grinding poverty at the hands of those who are exploiting their 
finances (imho).  We should be writing letters of complaint to our 
representatives.
