Virginia is pleased to recognize the 2010 Virginia Women in

Patricia Costis's fourth-grade class (2009), Dreamkeepers Academy,
Norfolk

* Mollie Holmes Adams (1881-1973), King William County, Upper Mattaponi
leader

* Queena Stovall (1888-1980), Lynchburg and Amherst County, artist

* Ethel Bailey Furman (1893-1976), Richmond, architect

During March, the 2010 Virginia Women in History panel exhibition will

locations around the state for the rest of the year. A poster featuring
short biographies of each woman has been distributed to schools,
libraries, and museums throughout the state.
