Having found just about all the band music of Virginia Civil War bands, AND thanks to the Moravian Music Society, the complete band books of the 26th NC Regiment, I have turned my attention to South Carolina. Unfortunately, I can find nothing through the SC sites (Regimental histories, SC Historical Society, US Military History sites, etc.) I know there must be something out there since books about THE WAR are sprinkled with references like Rosen's Confederate Charleston p125 ".... summoned the band to the parapet (of Ft. Sumter) to play Dixie", and references to a "Band of Music" at the memorial service for the Hunley, Nov 1863.

I would appreciate it if somebody would send me the name of someone knowledgable in SC Civil War history with whom I might correspond.
