Definitions are all a matter of perspective and geography.  My western 
friends say ranches are west of the MS river, farms are east of it.  Also one can 
have farms out west if there are no cows or horses; eg pigs or crop farms.  
In my mind, farms in the east start at 5 acres so when friends of mine say I 
have a farm I tell them I have a farmette at 4.7 acres ;-)
