There’s an interesting series of documents from early 1692 that deal
with acquiring a new seal to be used by the newly appointed Secretary of
the Province of MD. Different time period and level of government, but
it gives a sense of what this particular type of seal would have looked
like. Page 298 has a description of the seal.
