In response to Mr. Brister's question, yes, the Library partnered with
VCU's Elderhostel Program for a number of years. After a brief hiatus, we
continued to work with the program after it was renamed Road Scholars.
Unfortunately, the program fell victim to budget cuts during the COVID
outbreak.

The Library is currently hosting virtual genealogy workshops on an ongoing
basis. Keep an eye on this page for updates.

The Library has recorded a number of Family History workshops and short
videos and placed them on our Youtube channel:

We have also submitted a program proposal to the University of Richmond's
Osher Institute Program for Spring 2021. Hopefully that will come together
and we can announce something soon.

We are constantly evaluating our family history offerings and we appreciate
any and all suggestions. Feel free to contact us if there are specific
topics you would like to see.
