Published journals of the two houses are readily available, and the
archives in the Library of Virginia has some incomplete files of working
papers and draft bills for some sessions, as well as original manuscript
petitions that people submitted requesting the passage of laws on a
great many subjects. Newspapers seldom reported on legislative debates
and business during that time, and the files of newspapers that survive
are gappy.
If you wish to find personal letters and papers of some individual
members, then try searching the online catalogs of the major
repositories that hold Virginia material: Library of Virginia, Virginia
Historical Society, University of Virginia, College of William and Mary,
Library of Congress, New York Public Library, Duke University, and
University of North Carolina. Smaller collections exist in many other
libraries and in some local historical societies and public libraries.

Are there any records about members of the Virginia House of Delegates
for the 1780s? If so, who has them?
Thanks.
