The simple answer to this is that records are only pulled 6 times a
day (on the half hour from 9.30 to 3.30 excluding 1.30). Closing on
Mondays will cut 6 pulls. If the archives remains open on Saturdays,
the records requested on that day would not be pulled until Tuesday.
There does not appear to be any plan to increase the number of
pulls, although NARA has been made aware that the proposed
shorter hours make the 9.30 and 3.30 pulls somewhat redundant.
