At the present the genealogy department at the main Allen County Public
Library is undergoing extensive renovation to make it bigger and better. In
their latest newsletter was this info:
"Our exciting temporary location is 200 E. Berry, Fort Wayne, Indiana. We
will be at this location until late in 2006. We would enjoy having you
visit the Genealogy Department.
To get directions from your exact location to 200 E. Berry, Fort Wayne,
Indiana, visit this link at MapQuest:

Hope this helps someone.

Subject: Re: Allen Co. Public Library (ACPL)
About 30 years ago when I lived in Michigan, and when I first started into
genealogy in ernest, I spent 3 days at the Allen Co.Library and it was
worth every minute there! I really got so many leads and so much
information! That was 30 years ago. I can only believe that it has just
improved all along! I have always wanted to go back, since it is much
close to Buffalo, than Salt Lake City. When I retire, be assured that
I'll go back for several days.
