All we know about her early years is that she was born (somewhere)
in Virginia in approximately 1804, and moved with her first husband
Adam Nausley/Nausler/Nosley/Nosler/Nozler to Columbus, TN (now
extinct), and then on to Jackson Co, Ill. We have a lot of info on them
after they reached Illinois in approximately 1825. Her third husband, in
fact, had the last name of "Crow" as well. Possibly a cousin/relative?
One of her daughters married a Gadberry; a researcher for them has
family lore that states this daughter was half Indian. We haven't been
able to find any info on a "Crow" last name; could that have been a
tribe, rather than an official last name?
I know the Crow/Abrarokee were originally from the northeast US, but
could they have been in Virginia in the early 1800's?
Any help appreciated.
