I, too, am interested in missing highway markers. The one in which I am
interested apparently was removed during highway work about 50 years ago, and
has never been replaced. I want to know what it said, but can find no one
presently in that area who can remember, and no one seems to have photos of
it. A book has been written on VA highway markers, but I do not know how to
get it. I was simply told that the marker in which I am interested is not in
that book. I would think that some part of the VA Department of Highways
would have records of all VA highway markers, including removed ones. Any
suggestions?
