You can search the records yourself.
Go to
https://www.familysearch.org/en/
Click on "Search" on menu bar at top
Choose "Catalog" from pull down menu
In the "Place" search box, start typing "King William" you won't get too far before Virginia, King William appears in green below the search box. Click on it and choose
"on line" for availability.
Click "search"
Notice that there was a courthouse fire in 1885 and most of the early records were destroyed or badly damaged, but what remains can be searched from anywhere.
You will need to sign up for an account - it's free and painless.
Good luck

Hi all,
I am new to VA-ROOTS and looking for answer to what is probably an easy question for those here. I am doing research for an article I am writing on a murder that happened in 1870 in King George County. I am able to look at newspaper articles at the time and have a lot of good information but missing one thing. Any records from the King George County Courts which are on microfilm at the library. I have the date of trial (March 1870 indictment; April 1870 trail) and names of accused/convicted William and Warner Taylor BUT the records are not digitized yet AND I currently work/live in Singapore.
So my question, is this something I should pay the library to find, copy, and eMail me OR a researcher?
Thank you for any help or guidance.
Keith
