Hello all,
I have a copy of an estate inventory for Christopher Cruey in Smyth Co
Va in 1845. Because of fading and imaginative handwriting I can not
read all the words and thought some knowledgable person could help. As a
point of reference, Christopher was a wagon maker and these tools
probably were used for that purpose. The tools included one drawing
knife; one crooked drawing knife; one spoke? knife; one wood square and
? guage?;  one turning lathe and tools;  one wooden ?gayer or gager;
and one iron square. Can someone help me understand these tools and
their use?
Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks. Linda in Tampa
