I found two Thomas Chappells in 1850 for Fairfax, Va
The people listed in the house of (farmer)Thomas (60) are Harriett (35) Mary
(16) Charles H (11) William (10) male child-hard to read (8) Nancy (5) Another
male (3)

The second Thomas that I found was living in the household of (planter)
ROBERT (69) Joanna (66) Thomas (65) Octavia (60) ann?(38) Helen (26) There are also
others in this house with the last name of Tucker.
     There is also a Thomas A Chappell thats a slave holder in Fairfax in
1850 The male slaves he owned were ages 60, 15, 10, 8, 6, and under1   Females
were ages 50, 23, 22, 17, 4, 2, and 1
