Thank you so much for passing the word about Paul Drake's passing in June. I
hadn't heard that and was certainly saddened by the news we've lost such a
brilliant researcher.

Paul was my go-to person when I bogged down on the history of North Carolina
while writing a book on my UPCHURCH line. Bless his soul, he spent hours
helping me compile explanations of various legal terms used, and the meaning
of Indentured Servants and the Headright System. He even went the extra mile
to edit through the pages about these just to make sure I had it right.

My condolences to his family...
