Modest, certainly!  Where else would the name of a creek, which had
originally been too rude and crude to even post here, have been changed with
such dry, marvelous humor to "Modest Creek" except in Lunenburg Co, VA in
the 1700's and to have been continuely referred to in the records as
"Blanking Creek, (now Modest)"!
