The LDS records are free for anyone to search.  No one has to use these
records, but if one does, each submitted record offers the name and address
of those who submitted it.  As in any search, one must verify the info on
their own.

However many times people who have submitted their own personal information,
often believe that it is true and accurate, as it has been handed down from
generation to generation.  The spelling of a name or number of children or,
etc., may be not quite accurate.  However, I have found the LDS records to be
a wonderful source of info.  Often I have found new leads or paths to check
out thru them.

The LDS files also offer other types of info on film, which is as accurate as
the human who wrote the info down hundreds of years ago.

We all should be grateful that the LDS records are available to all for free.
 As you can agree, most places don't give you free access to this type of
information for free, often it is very expensive.
