Did you see the supporting documentation in the chancery case or just  the order book?  Where was the case filed?  Several of the counties have their chancery files on-line at LVA   http://www.lva.virginia.gov/chancery/default.asp#res  There's often great stuff in the flat files -- many thanks to LVA for digitizing them!
