Does anyone have a list of ministers, their locations, and
denominations? I believe it could be a useful tool in locating where
ancestors lived by noting where the ministers who performed the
marriages were. One such minister that someone could help me with is
John L. Carroll of Fauquier Co. in the 1876 time frame.
I visited the Baptist Church Archives on the University of Richmond last
week and found a wealth of information. You should make an appointment
(Miss Darlene F. Slater 1-804-289-8434) prior to your visit. That way
they will retrieve the info you request and have it ready when you get
there.
Regards, Phyllis.
