While browsing the Virginia Historical Inventory database, I came
across the entry for the above bible. Would there be anyone here that
is going to the library who would be able to take a peek at the
register?
The record number is VHIR/13/02451. I am interested to see if there is
an entry for Rebecca Tucker who was listed in the 1850 Hanover County
census. [Rebecca Tucker, 19 yrs. old, living in the home of Washington
Jones and his wife, Mary. Both are 50 yrs old. Washington
is listed as a farmer. ] I am looking for the Rebecca Tucker that
married George Turner of King and Queen County.
BTW, I erased the email regarding this new database. Did Ms. Roderick
say that all of the images are to be put online? Did she give a time
frame? All I can think of to describe it is "a kid in a candy shop".
What a gold mine of info!
Regards,
Lyn
